Approximately 1 in 7 heterosexual couples (3.5m people in the UK) struggle to conceive naturally in the UK.

Also, live births are now at their lowest since records began. In general, the UK birth rate is slowing. In 2018, births are down 3.2% on the previous year and down 10% from 2012.
